Fork oil balls up?

While I had the forks off to remove a snapped exhaust stud I thought it wise to change my fork oil with 15w. Like the numpty I am, I used the boxeye level instead of the foxeye.
It's nice and firm, maybe too firm. Should I remove the excess oil? I'm afraid I might lose the front end cos its not compliant enough. |
