if the paperwork isn't correct, then it can't be used as evidence.
many moons ago i was caught exceeding the posted limit by a considerable sum (+33).
i was duly summoned to appear before the magistrates expecting to have to plead for my license.
i had a quick word with the duty solicitor who noticed that the speed limit was wrong on the charge sheet and advised me to plead not guilty and to kick up a stink if they try to change the charge there and then.
i pleaded NG to the charge on the sheet, objected to a change of charge and walked out of court with costs against the court.
i also got my godson off a £60 fpn as the officer ticked the wrong vehicle type on the ticket.
sometimes the law works in your favour if you hve the cajones to see it through.
