Lew, slimwilly has made a custom seat that is much thicker than standard. It looks like a lumpy mattress :lol but seems to work for him. Why not get a custom seat made that is much thicker (2 inches or so?). It may be a bit expensive to have done, but will be a one-off spend, and if it keeps you riding a bike that you clearly love, gotta be worth it?
Or, as Frosties said, try an adventure style bike like the Tracer, or Ducati Multistrada to see if you have more leg room. Some of these new adventure bikes are getting to be as good on the road as more traditional-styled fare - if you have the dosh, what about the new BMW one with the S1000R engine? Saw one the other day, and it looks the business. Get out and test ride a few. We all love our Fazers, but they aren't all that's around.
