Is the 2008/9 r6 shock mod for early fazer 6 as well?

Now don't quote me on this,  but the 98-01 r6 shock has a similar mounting configuration so 'might' fit.

Quite cheap on eBay too so could be worth a punt, or a bit of research into the sizes/measurements.
