I don't think I have -ever- accurately measured the volume of oil I have added to a vehicle
I just buy enough for the capacity of the engine and fill until within spec of available measurement marks (glass sight on the bikes and dip-stick on the cars)
If the light is on (as said it is a level light, not pressure) then just add a bit more - I've seen cases of the level sensor being a bit awkward on here before
