If I have read this right your saying it happens at low revs. My thoughts are stop running the engine and find out exactly what is wrong, i believe the oil light comes on when the the oil pressure is low, the pressure is built up by the oil pump which is there to pump the oil though the engine lubricating all the required places.
If I am right the pump could be on its way out. I m sure others on here who are more familiar with the Fazer engine will comfirm this either way, but in the mean time it is risky to run the engine in my opinion.
