I noticed a pool of oil on my front rim at work, turns out the fork seal had gone so I mopped it up and tie-wrapped a dishcloth around the seal so it didn't drip onto the wheel while riding. I took half a day as my brother was testing at oulton park just up the road from the office thinking we could sort it, but the rag wasn't wet so left it till I got home rather than take it apart at the track.
It was months before I remembered and replaced it, the rag was by this time in a sorry state...
