It was not a dig at you. I was taking a moment to point out that if its not your thing or the wrong time for some one noise is very annoying. Many of the best biking road run through lovely country villages and I would bet the sound of the increased traffic on a nice biking day really annoys the residents. So the trick is to do the best to make sure one persons fun does not upset another persons happiness.
They need to find a location out of every bodies way.

I understood where you were coming from.
I always "tinckle" through the villages that are on a very good run (near you Chris.biker) as quietly as I can because I dont want any clamp-downs on the rest of the road which has already gone from national to 50 in places.
But alas i do seem to be in a minority, as I could be 1/4 of a mile in front of someone and then by the time i am out of the village and back to the 50 sign they are right up my arse - so clearly they were doing 50 through the 30 village to catch up.
Whats with those exhaust igniters then, what are they and who is selling them and is the whole point just to make a bang noise
