With older diesels a mixture up to a third of petrol was considered what you could get away with without doing damage. Common rail diesels and later are more particular, probably due to tighter clearances. You don't get much petrol for £5 so unless you were running on dregs I guess you'll be o.k.
I was actually relieved when I finally realised I had topped up with diesel as I was thinking holed piston etc.
