You could probably achieve what you need to by simply removing the pilot jets and cleaning them (use a fine wire guitar string to 'rod' through the tiny end hole in the jet), and shooting carb cleaner (I use Wynn's from Halfords) through the pilot jet passageways while the jets are soaking in more of the same.

Be sure to remove the carb slides before you do this ... carb cleaner and carb diaphragms don't play nicely together.
