Lubing clutch cable?
#4
is it not the spring in the front sprocket cover that is responsible for the return action although dry cable wont help. I would take the sprocket cover off and clean that lot and then while you are that far you may as well take the cable off and lube it with it hanging up. In the cover you will find old chain lube / grit / feathers / straw/ bits of mice / sparrows

Dosent the cable have a teflon liner which you have to be carfull about what you clean it with. I hung mine up and washed it through with something that I cant remember and then blasted air down it to clear that out and then set up a funnel at the top and let ACF50 go down until it came out the bottom.
I don't do rain or threat there of. dry rider only with no shame.
