Help with alternative adventure style mirrors

what about these, they are to make them wider but why not narrower?

Don't know anybody that's said good of those sort of adapters, you can never get them tight enough, and your doubling the amount of chances of where they come loose
I'm sure someone, somewhere will be ok with them, just not my experience
