As regards to the clock position, think about how the other cables are routed on the bars, they just go down and under the tank, this because they're isn't actually a lot of movement, only movement is from lock to lock and as long as you leave it some slack in the same way the original wiring is done, you shouldn't have any problems :thumbup
Oh should say as well as above, it will move all the time as you put it as it's going to be connected forward of the bars and everything moves with the direction of the bars
think your maybe still thinking you've got a fairing on there :lol
Remember also if you put it on the bars, it may actually stop you getting the ignition key in and if it's positioned more above the lights, it's actually easier to see while your riding as you wouldn't be trying to look more downward to see what the speed is etc
