I did some playing around when I was renewing mine. Increasing and decreasing the voluntary excess both decreased the premium on the comparison websites as different insurers would quote against different values.

Just saying, but worth a play.

I done this too on the sites and it's amazing the difference even with the same companies :wall what's all that about? I think it just confuses their computer lol
