Figured I'd use up the 2 spare hours I had and deal with the rear brake pads as mentioned above; found a set in a box that I forgot I had from when I bought the bike. Took a lot longer than it should have because the pad pins had rotated so that you I couldn't get to the R clips and then the pins had seized solid - I had to use a hammer and a punch to get the buggers out and even then it was a tough job.
Cleaned it caliper up as well as the pins and sanded them back a bit to a smooth surface and lubed them up with some copper grease to try and prevent it from happening again. It's all back together now at least so I look forward to getting out on the bike and testing them, but that's for another day ^.^
