They most likely over greased the housing for the speedo sensor/rotor and since it does not have a seal the extra grease is squeezed out and the spinning puts it on the disc. It is a bit careless of the mechanic, but at least you know they have greased it

Use a cloth to clean up the grease around the sensor/rotor and the inner part of the disc web. It is a nuisance, but should be ok after a sh
