I have an MG ZS with a 2.5L V6 oh dear!!!!have the butterflies started fluttering yet The RX-8 on the other hand I haven't tracked on normal fuel but it averages more like 17 MPG but I'm not sure if it will take advantage of the higher RON or not being a rotary engine. I guess it's possible but I still don't know as much about them as I do typical piston engines

As for the Renesis, you are right, I've been reading some Turbo threads and that the pre-ignition has been mentioned... as the sell is going nowhere, I'm beginning to consider storing it and doing a long term turbo project with it

For a weekend / leisure rider this might be a good option if done regularly (part of general service and maintenance) but for larger miles I would have thought using a fuel with cleaning agents would be more consistent with maintaining the fuel system. Granted it's not overly complicated on the likes of the Fazer I suppose...
