Not a fan of USD's on the 6 though, looks a bit daft for some reason, they're super chunky and it makes the front look odd. A bit like putting a Plymouth Superbird spoiler on a Ford Fiesta or something, looks overkill in my opinion. I'm getting my forks done soon, can't wait but I am opting for the emulators / springs upgrade and keeping the standard looking RWU forks.
Thankyou

First Wales shakedown run (for me and the bike) for this year today. Beautiful weather all day, like mid-summer. Blatted along the A40 to Ross-on-Wye, then up a short bit of the A49, turned off to go to Abergavenny via Skenfrith:

Will do a proper visit to the castle one of these days soon, think it'll be worth it.
And had a bit of a laugh on the way home: A large section of one of the main roads on my route is currently closed for resurfacing. Well, I'm getting a bit tired by this time, so I stop for 15mins for a coffee and to stretch my legs. Right, let's see how far we get before we hit the closure, and maybe I can turn down some little detour there. If not, can always turn around and take another route. I'm feeling better after my rest so not in a hurry, just bimbling along now. So I get to the road closure and head off down a little B road, which I have ridden before, but only once. Then I take a wrong turning somewhere and bang! I hit the closed road halfway along it's length with no way onwards. So I ask one of the resurfacing crew, how do I get to such-and-such? He doesn't answer at first but takes great interest in the bike. Then he says, go down the closed road, if you're stopped, just tell em you were really short on fuel and had to get to the nearest garage. Before I can say anything, a works van pulls up and he's telling his boss that I'm short on fuel, can I use the closed road. No, it's closed. Oh well, alright, just follow me. So now I've got an official escort on a major route with no traffic (peak time) with the guy thinking I'm short of fuel (I'd filled up at Evesham, so tank was full) and I'm just hoping we don't get stopped by someone else cos the fuel gauge shows it's brimmed :lol So I'm inventing excuses in my head just in case: yeah mate, that gauge has been stuck at the full mark for ages :lol
But got through no problems, probably saved me at least another half hour of alternative route hunting, so :thumbup to the guy who bull-shitted his boss for me!
