HELP - FZS600 head gasket

Hi all im after some advice with regards to head gasket on my box eye fzs 600 I got home from work last week and noticed some creamy oil leaking from the main oil cap on the bike so I took the cap off and its all creamy on the lid, ive been told its the head gasket, how much of a big job is it to sort out?? If anyone has any hints tips help advice they could throw my way It would be much appreciated as I really don't wanna get rid I my much beloved Fazer  :'(
