Think you may be right, look's like a buzzard. red kite's have lighter heads. Whatever it was, as you can see, It was a large bird and with the speed I was going, certainly hit me with some force.

I'm just truly sorry that I killed it.

If only I had been going faster.  :b    I would have missed it.
