To usd or not to usd
#6
Good stuff, most of it isn't too difficult. I think I might have an old R1 'top-hat' spacer from my old build which could be liberated for a bottle of wine  Wink

Regarding the rear wheel, this recent topic should help:
http://foc-u.co.uk/index.php/topic,15828.0.html
So it looks like the old FZR1000 with it's 5.5 inch rim might be a suitable candidate (with some machining)

The R6 shock needs a bit more than dogbones & spring.  The standard spring is a weirdo 6.5 inches long and aftermarket springs only come in 6 or 7 inch variants. So a half-inch spacer is needed to take up the slack and make it suitable for Fazers.  Also, the R6 shock's top mounting hole is 10mm diameter and not the 12mm of the Fazer.  So you either need to drill the R6's top mount out to 12mm or insert two top-hat spacers in the frame's top mount area and use a 10mm diameter bolt to make it fit.  Which is why I sell R6 shock 'kits'  :lol
