I've just finished fitting a replacement wiring loom to my 2003 Fazer. The old loom had a datatool system 3 alarm fitted, and from what I had read it looked easier to replace the whole loom than try and figure out which individual wire do what.
The only thing nagging me is would the alarm affect the ECU at all? Or would chucking the whole lot away not affect it?
I have tried rigging it up to an old battery to see if the bike powers up, but no luck as yet, buy that's probably down to the old battery I am using as it doesn't fully charge and needs replacing.
.....or have I taken on something way out of my skill zone?
