Doesn't really answer the OP, but spotify has a free version that you can have a play with before taking the plunge and  subscribing. There's an advert about every 3 songs if you listen to an album, but no dj drivel. I've had a couple of bands I couldn't find on there though and you can't download to play later with the free version.
