Couple of things to bear mind when reading that Visordown article:
It was based on the old boxeye 600 model. The foxeye has extras (like fully adjustable front suspension) and with a similar fairing looks every bit as good as the 1000 (IMHO)
The enormous price difference at new is now much closer of course. Probably no more than £500 difference for similar age and condition.
As others have said, it really depends on what you want to do with it. I love my foxeye 600, the ultimate 'all rounder'
