I found the same, as did a couple of friends who also have the same bike and use them for everything. Just didn't feel planted with Bridgestones, felt front was going to wash out, now fitted Angel St's which I used on my Fazer 1000 and bike is transformed, even done quick track days on it. Others have gone for the Michelins with the same result, false economy to fit such poor tyres to their new bikes by manufacturers, had the same with both R1's and changed them as soon as I was able, with dramatic improvement.

I had no idea that the OE tyres were so poor until I upgraded them today. The bike no longer falls into bends, it now 'rolls' and feels planted to the road. It doesn't shimmy over white lines and the rear suspension feels less 'loose' on choppy roads when banked over. I've had a few heart stopping moments especially on roundabouts when the front has lost grip in the wet but these things are incredible.
These are my initial thoughts having covered one hundred miles on un-scrubbed tyres in the wet. If these things last as well as the reviews suggest I'll be chuffed to bits.
Oh and no I don't work for Michelin.
