Swapped out the OEM Regulator/ Rectifier for a new one (well, from a breakers, but only done 9,000 miles) to see if that will fix the problem of the battery not charging.
Unfortunately, when I went out this evening, it was humid and wet and, once again, a few hours later, the bike would turn over but not fire so ended up having to bump it
