I see you've also sought views on the FZ1OA. Ravenrider is the guy to listen to about FZ1 carb jetting using parts other than Ivan's kits. He's done a lot more tuning using stock & modded stock needles that me.
I appreciate you're attempting to richen up the low-mid range by raising the stock needles higher. What you're doing will work reasonably well but there's always compromises doing it that way because of the stock needle profile.
My feeling is that 1.5mm is a bit too high; hence my suggestion to try a shade lower but with mixture screws out a bit more. However, go with what RR advises.
