I had no idea that the OE tyres were so poor 

I had no idea the OE tyres were so poor either. When they wore out, I replaced with the same and still had no idea they were so poor. When they ran out of BT021s I used BT023s and still didn't realise they are so poor. Ive done 44,000 miles and still didn't realise they are so poor. I get 10,000 to 12,000 miles out of them, and new ones do feel nicer than worn out tyres as they aren't squared off.
