I have this issue every year with the AA. Pay £100 Year 1 then next year get a renewal for £200+.
Solution:
Go online and apply as a new customer and you get the "introductory" price.
Call AA and advise that you will not renew unless you get the "introductory" price quoting your reference number you get online.
This has worked for me for the past 9 years and I have the full AA cover for £110 (last year)
