Are you hinting it might be transmission snatch? A build up of all the different tolerances in the gearbox, chain , cush drive etc causing the "snatch" or making it seem worse than it actually is? Which might explain why every bike seems to be affected differently, I hardly notice any snatch on my 07 gen 2 and when I have thought that I have noticed some snatch I have put it down to my own clumsy throttle control.
