Just to check I'm doing it right, I took the connector off (between the main fuse and the spare 30A fuse) and used a 1p to bridge the two pins on the OS of the bike. I can't quite make sense of that connector on the wiring diagram so I don't know if that's the right procedure.
Either way, I've taken the battery out and put it on my Oximiser. It's reading low, but not empty so I'm giving it a bit of a charge before I try anything else. Not that my symptoms point to a ow battery anyway! I'd expect everything to go out when I pressed the starter button if that were the case.
Any more ideas are greatly appreciated.
