Lowering FZ6 Rear Shock

I'm not into scraping knees, so I won't worry about that too much.

Although I'm just wondering if the forks have been raised through the yokes already as I recall trying to get it lowered a bit when I bought it (that was 7 years ago). As far as I can measure it, it appears to be about 740mm from the top of the yoke to the centre of the front wheel. Does anyone know if this is the standard measurement?
