Yep, IPA is the gear you want, i put in about 200ml per tank of fuel during cold winter months to ward off any carb icing issues which the bike suffered from when i bought it.
Never happened since, and it does bind with water and get burned off as fuel.
More people are born because of alcohol than will ever die from it.
