Water in tank

Hi everyone. I have got a 1998 fzs 600. Unfortunately I've got water in my tank, because the drain hose was cracked on the bottom of the tank. I have fixed it, drained the tank, but the bike still doesn't have the same power as it used to have. My mate had the same problem, he also drained the tank plus the carburetor. He suggested me to take off the carbs and dry them. But I was thinking if there is an easier way to do as I am not a mechanic. I have read something about different kinds of liquids that you can pour into your tank to help get rid of the water. Any ideas?
