If it had been a ban, I would have received a date for a further hearing for sentencing, which I would have had to attend in Llanelli: return train journey £112, possible B&B £65, plus loss of wages. Quote to renew for my car came today ( Golf GTTDi )...£225 fully comp. so I rang them (Hastings) to inform them I had an SP30 from Feb, they told me it would alter the premium, now £287, I had previously checked on the comparison sites and could get insured, SP30 etc. for £220 so I told the guy at Hastings I would not be requiring their services when he says " hang on, we might be able to do something .....how about £223 ?" two pounds cheaper than before, so my SP30 saved me two quid.
These firms are just having a laugh at our expense.
