cheers mate, but the bending and twisting aint the issue - its getting it true, a set square, unbent and untwisted through the 3 axials (pitch, roll and yaw - to put it into terms I would use in my day job). I've got the level parallel with the ground with a spririt level, so the nose is level with the ground, same on the X axis rotation. But for the life of me I cant get the thing equal around the Y rotation (left/right). Anyway, as I said, close to giving up now and buying new from overseasĀ  . especially as this thread has been infiltrated by darrsi scheming ideasĀ  :lol
