I have used one of the ALDI's waterproof jackets for years and it has never let in a drop.
Use it over my Goretex gear in the winter and it keeps the rain, wind and crud away aswell. Not that compact and won't fit under the seat on the FZ1, although you can barely get a Mars Bar under there
Best £8.99 I ever spent, although not seen them for sale for a while so that does not help you much :rolleyes
