Stock shocks can be had for £50 ish, so had a look on ebay and found one going for £30 atm.

The other option if you are able to have the bike of the road for a bit is to get your shock rebuilt -

Thanks b1k3rdude, was wondering about a second hand one but not sure how long that would last. suppose for the money I might give it a go though!
