Depends on how old your laptop is - there is a small chance you could change the memory assigned to the graphics processor in the BIOS... but it's a very small chance. If it (the laptop) was designed to run with XP then I imagine that option is unavailable. It's more common on the latest generations of Intel Core processors where the graphics processor is part of the CPU rather than a dedicated chip
