Cheers for the info, the bike does seem to run better with in disconnected, so maybe it was just never set up right in the first place?
The bike is in pretty good nick for a 98 model and the engine is sound, think who ever owned it before must of looked after it and like you say it could of been used on a track? but i think some of the stuff is more cosmetic and maybe the box was set up more of a rev limiter as the bike does seem to have more go in it now.
I know my last fazer I owned seemed to have more poke, but now that things been disconnected its back to its old fazer, even the sound has changed slightly, back to the Fazer whistle. if thats the best word to describe it?
Going to leave it off for the rest of the week make sure its running ok and then if it was sill ditch that thing, unless you still want it PaulFZS, but from what tweetytek said it sounds like its a lot of hassle for very little benefit.
No if only i can fix the annoying headlight vibration I will be happy.
