I read that the driver admitted to not seeing the bike - OR the car that the bike had just overtaken. Witnesses from behind the car did say they saw the bike coming.
Driver pleaded guilty to death by dangerous, so would have got a ban of some sort.
Yes, the biker was going too fast and going slower may have saved him, but you can't do anything about drivers how just don't look.
