Got picture of the unit you've been offered..? I ask because the foxeye unit has 7 mounting points/lugs -
- 2x on the top (as you can see above) and 2x on the bottom
- the remaining 2x lower middle of the headlight (HL) unit.
- The top two(l/r corner) lugs mount the HL to the subframe and the front fairing to the HL
- The bottom 2x lugs mount the fairing to the headlight.
- The middle top lug mount the fairing to the headlight.
- The lower middle lugs mounting th HL to the subframe.
Here is an example of HL with a top corner lug missing, but in this shot we cant see the the cond. of the other lugs.-
And here is a 'perfect example' of one to walk away from, 1. Spares Unlimited are a bunch of crooks, £100 for a terminally broken HL unit is just taking the piss. 2. Reading the description it states the unit is split down the middle, its not fit for purpose so the HL is not even worth £50 let alone £100.
And lastly on the subject of pricing, don't pay more than £150 for a HL in mint or very good cond.
