If it aint clicking then its the main switch , run/kill, or fuse or - although unlikely if it worked before - a wiring/loom problem.
I bet its electrical and not the s/motor - spesh as you've been messing with heated grips and now it doesnt work. I'd stick my neck out and agree with Jules - a fuse; or a short or bad earth or battery. Do what others have suggested and use a multimeter to check the Volts as above.
