Centenary Memorial Poppy Tour 2014

So, I'll be setting off in a little over 24 hours. I got my bike back together last night after a fair bit of work. Had a road test today and scrubbed in the new tyres. Fule'd up and bags almost packed. And, of course, I picked up the poppy!

And here is a wee list of the work I did to the bike in readyness for the trip, along with a couple of "blue peter" style pictures.




Chain cleaned/fix Scottoiler
Front sprocket - .5 hours
Balance carbs
Rear wheel bearings
Remove exhaust studs/Fit exhaust  – 2 hours
Tyres – (Tuesday 19th August/Dynotech Ecosse) – 2 hours
Polish fuel cap
Clean headlamp reflector – 2 hours
Exhaust hanger – Wednesday - 1 hour
Mirrors
Front headlamp HiD conversion
Oil filter
Oil change/engine flush
Carburettor cleaner treatment
Trim c spanner
Full service according to Haynes manual
Check spark plugs
Replace brake fluid
Clean radiator hoses/flush system/fill
Fuel filter
Clean air filter
Front pad change
