If you want to go technical:
People had already built homemade Aces before Yamaha did -this bike is basically a FZR1000 engine in a smaller YZF750R chassis. It had vastly improved suspension and brakes though, ironically its huge standard fork was better than the USDs of its "parents" . The engine was same as yours only with a lighter crankshaft, forged pistons, NIKASIL cilinders, TPS attached to the new the carburettors. It has the best aerodinamics and ergonomics I know though.
