Clocks woes...

Sounds like the common low voltage issue. Even if the battery is fine there might be too less voltage at the dash.
First check the fuse for permanent 12V.
Next the connector underneath the left inner lining and the connector at the dash. And the ignition switch connector below the front of the tank including the wires in the protection sleeving.
There is no grounding to the frame except for the starter. You might add one at the headlights. There had been some discussion around here on how to do that some days/weeks back.
