fitting R6 or R1 speedo clocks to a fazer?

Assuming you can get past that issue the TPS on the carbs will probably protest at being joined with R6 technology.

Is this actually a problem? I have run my bike fine with no clocks on, but I've not tried riding it that way, but I've seen the odd mention here and there that it doesn't go properly because of something to do with the clocks, but also there's been a couple of people fitted other clocks with no apparent problems.
