Lowering Revs with sprockets

Will be interesting to see how ya mpg is affected? I was surprised to find that with my standard gearing, riding solo commuting and keeping revs pretty low about 6 k, o would average 56 mpg. When riding 2 up and/or taking revs up to 11-12 k I actually average 64 mpg!!!
Needless to say I now rag it at every opportunity
