My mate and I went a couple of months back there. From Glasgow, an overnight stay with beer and nonsense, and back. It was raining sideways and we still had a blast.
We stayed here for the night - http://applecross.uk.com/campsite/wigwams.htm
The loop around Applecross is quite stunning. I have seen a fair bit of my country on a bike, and this is outstanding. As long as you can stick the arctic conditions (read "not for them soft southerners with their sunshine and the likeĀ :lol ).
Have a great time and keep your eyes peeled for the random kambers and weird grooves in the road.

Not quite sure what to do with my early mid-life crisis. Ideas on a post card to P.O.BOX 150...
