Can anyone tell me why the road surfaces are generally so good in Wales? You certainly know when youre back in England by the potholes etc! :eek
I've got a Phillips Road Atlas that has served me well for many years now, shows most of the little roads too. Can't be many good ones I haven't done yet, then I'll have to look elsewhere I suppose. Already starting to explore the Marches. I'd love to live in central Wales, but bugger all work - that's why the roads are so empty, no one lives or works there.
Good road surfaces in Wales = EU subsidies?
I swear the surfaces turn from cart tracks to race tracks the minute you actually cross the border.
